Bertucci was a former NHL player who played in five different states and three leagues before retiring.
He died on Thursday, Dec. 11.
He was 56.
Bertucci played more than 60 games in his career with the Montreal Canadiens, Philadelphia Flyers and Boston Bruins.
Bertuzzo played five seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins and has had two NHL stops since the beginning of the 2020-21 season.
Bertuzo was also an assistant coach with the Philadelphia Flyers.
Bertuccio had a long association with the organization, going on to coach his alma mater, the University of Maine.
“Emmet’s family, along with the Bertuzzis, have expressed their deepest sympathies and sympathy to the Bertucci family,” NHL president and chief operating officer Brian Burke said in a statement.
“We are deeply saddened by Todd’s passing.”
